Trust has had the pleasure of working on projects in various urban renewal areas of Nashville. Our current projects are focused in the Germantown and Salemtown areas, called by some, “The Grid”. Our latest project includes The Clayton on 6th Avenue North. Our featured project is the brand new development, Fifth and Garfield located next to the historic
Fehr School in the Salemtown part of Nashville.
Our project, The Clayton on 6th Avenue North, earned the distinctive Preservation Award for Infill projects as commissioned by The Metropolitan Historical Commission of Nashville and Davidson County. The award was presented to the company at the 32nd Annual Preservation Awards Ceremony at the Nashville Public Library in May of 2007 by Mayor Bill Purcell, Commission Chairman Reaves Mitchell and Executive Director Ann Roberts.
“The Clayton on 6th Ave. North” consists of four homes designed by noted local historic replica home designer Lynn Taylor of Taylor Made Plans, built by Ian Lewis of Timberline Custom Homes and detailed by local designer Star Moberg of Simply Star Designs.
Our latest exciting and new construction project is located at the corner of 5th Ave North and Garfield Streets in the Salemtown area of Nashville, Tennessee. Fifth and Garfield was inspired by a brownstone development in historic downtown Franklin, Tennessee called The Brownstones at First and Church.
The project is adjacent to the Fehr School, which was built in 1924 and served as a cornerstone in Nashville’s civil rights movement when it opened to children of all races in 1957. Historic Nashville Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to historic preservation, has placed the former elementary school, at 1624 5th Ave North, on its 2011 Nashville Nine list of most endangered historic properties. Creason has served two different terms on the board of directors of the Heritage Foundation of Franklin and Williamson County, founded in 1967, having a long history of preserving historic resources in neighboring Williamson County.
